Thursday, August 11, 2022, The Islamic Community Development (PMI) Departement, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, held the Campus Circle Community Empowerment Program in the Gajahwong riverside settlement, Ledok Gowok, Depok, Sleman Regency.

This activity provided various trainings for Gajahwong residents. Such as women's empowerment through reproductive health education and environmentally friendly PeKa (PembalutKain/Sanitary Napkin), business management with digital marketing training, introduction to water tourism management, and management of Badan Usaha MilikDesa (BUMDes/Village-Owned Enterprises).

The Gajahwong Campus Circle Empowerment event was held celebration of the 24th Anniversary series of PMI Departement.

This activity involved PMI Study Program lecturers, such as Siti Aminah, M.Si, Beti Nur Hayati, MA, Drs. Moh. Abu Suhud, M.Pd, Dr. Sriharini, M.Si, Rahadiyand Aditya, MA, Halimatus Sa'diyah, M.I.Kom, and Muhamad Rashif Hilmi, M.Sc. There were also several speakers in this seminar, first speaker Siti Aminah, M.Si (Chairman of PMI Study Program), with the topic of empowering women through reproductive health education and environmentally friendly PeKa (cloth sanitary napkins). Second, Beti Nur Hayati, MA (Secretary of PMI Study Program), with the topic of business management with digital marketing training. the third speaker is Rahardyan Aditya Pradana Putra with the topic of introducing water tourism management. and the last speaker was Syarif Hidayat, S.Sos (PMI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Alumni and Global Ambassador of Gotong Royong Tetra Preneur Wukirsari). with the topic (Lepen Mrican Giwangan Weir Manager), and the management of Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) for prospective PMI Study Program alumni

Siti Aminah expected that this campus circle empowerment program can become a sustainable activity so that it becomes a real model for empowered citizens through the assistance of PMI Study Programs, as well as being able to become a social laboratory and incubation center for PMI students and academics.
