The Islamic Community Development (PMI) department, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, visited the Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School (23/03).

The purpose of the visit of the PMI to Ponpes Lintang Songo is to invite PMI 2020 students to study the field of Applied Psychology of Community Empowerment.

At that time, the PMI students were accompanied by the Head of PMI department, Siti Aminah, M. Si as a Lecturer and Secretary of department Beti Nur Hayati, M. A.

The presence of the department was also welcomed by Mrs. Nyai Siti Hidayati, a representative from the Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School.

In this event, department also entered into a Cooperation Agreement with Ponpes Lintang Songo in terms of implementing Praktik Pengembangan Masyarakat (Community Development Practices), internships for the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), and community empowerment activities and field studies.

At the end of the event, the departement handed over mango and guava plant seeds to Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School, where the plants were a contribution from PMI Alumni for community empowerment program partners of PMI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Study Program.

Hopefully the collaboration between PMI department and Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School can be well established and always have positive synergy in community empowerment activities.
