The Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam/PMI(Islamic Community Development)departement of UIN Sunan Kalijaga held the PMI (The Islamic Community Development) International Seminar "Youth Initiatives for Sustainable Life and Social Movements: Case Study in USA, Libya, Thailand and Indonesia" on Tuesday (23/11) via Zoom Meeting at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication.

The main event was moderated by Moch. Nur Ichwan, Ph.D who is a Lecturer of PMI and Postgraduate Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The resource persons for the 23rd International PMI Aniversary Seminar, they were Le ngoc Bich Ly, Ph.D from the Department of Peacebuilding Payap University Thailand, Eric Coblentz, Ph.D (Candidate) from the USA who is currently studying at the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies UGM, Mowafg Abrahem Masuwd, Ph.D from Zawia University Libya, and Abellia Anggi Wardani, Ph.D from Indonesia who graduated from the Graduate School of Humanities - Tilburg University Netherlands.

This event was not only attended by PMI students. But also attended by other department students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

At the end of the event, the 10 best questioners in Q&A session received a bonus of 25,000 credits (mobilephone).

The expectation of the seminar is that can encourage PMI students and participants who attend to participate and contribute to empowerment, development and social movements in Indonesia.
